Yellow Rose of Texas

Hello everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since my last post.  Just got busy with the holidays and time got away from me.  I have been busy crafting and creating cards and layouts.  Here is a fun card I made using Close to my Heart's January Stamp of the Month - Beloved Bouquet.  I am calling this my Yellow Rose of Texas card.   This lovely card was created by using the 2nd generation stamping technique.     What is second generation stamping you ask?

Ink up your stamp, stamp it on a scrap piece of paper and then on your project w/o re-inking your stamp.  The result is a lighter image.

You can see this on my card with the leaves and the flowers.  After stamping the inside shade of my leaves and flower I stamped my image with the outline of the leaf or flower.

You can stamp the outline version first or last.   When using Close to my Heart stamps it is easy to see where you are stamping.  You truly can see where you are stamping and line up your 2nd stamping with ease.
